The Challenge
A real estate case study was carried out from the end of 2014 to the beginning of 2015 in order to identify the best scenario / solution for Microsoft. A list of 23 potential buildings was identified; 9 buildings were inspected, RFPs were sent to 4 landlords of shortlisted buildings (that were identified as suitable and compatible with Microsoft requirements).
The Solution
Cushman & Wakefield assisted Microsoft in carrying out a “stay vs go” analysis to compare the “stay scenario” and the different relocation alternatives that were identified.
The Results
After 13 months of negotiation, Microsoft signed a lease contract for a brand new office in Milan’s CBD.
