Cushman & Wakefield’s Italian Hospitality team has been instructed by the Muolo family to search for and select an operator to manage the Masseria Torre Maizza Golf Resort & SPA, a prestigious 5*L property situated in Fasano (Brindisi), in the heart of Apulia.
The resort consists of 30 rooms and suites, as well as restaurants, SPA, swimming pool, meeting rooms and a 9-hole golf course. The chosen operator is the prestigious luxury hotel chain Rocco Forte Hotels.
The Masseria Torre Maizza Golf Resort & SPA occupies a 9-hectare site, with a covered area of about 3,600 square meters, including a main building (an historical XVI century traditional rural farm) in which the Presidential Suite is situated.
The agreement also covers the construction of 10 new rooms/suites, with the purpose of setting a new benchmark in the luxury sector in the Apulia region.
Rocco Forte Hotels, set up in 1996 by Sir Rocco Forte, is a collection of 11 luxury hotels and resorts. Each one reflects the style and design of its location and assures the highest levels of quality, excellence and attention to detail. As well as the Torre Maizza in Apulia, Hotel De La Ville in Rome and The Westbund Hotel in Shanghai will open in 2019.
Dario Leone, Partner and Head of Hospitality in Cushman & Wakefield’s Italy office, comments: “This agreement confirms the strong interest of international operators in the luxury sector to enter or expand their presence in Italy, not only in key cities such as Milan, Rome, Florence and Venice, but also in resort destinations. The operator search and selection for the Masseria Torre Maizza Golf Resort & SPA is the most important operator selection project in 2018, and reaffirms that Cushman & Wakefield’s Italian Hospitality team is the leader in the luxury market. Moreover, the agreement highlights the excellent commercial relationship between Cushman & Wakefield and Rocco Forte Hotels group, as this is our second project with them in the last 24 months, following the Hotel de La Ville, a 5*L in the heart of Rome.”
