Cushman & Wakefield’s Italian Hospitality team acted as advisor of Torre San Montano S.r.l., for the operator selection of the Mezzatorre Resort & SPA, 5* resort located at the extreme tip of the northwest promontory of Ischia (Naples, Italy). The chosen operator is the prestigious Italian hotel group Pellicano Hotels, specialized in the luxury market segment.
Mezzatorre Resort & SPA is named after an ancient Saracen Tower dating back to the XVI century, in which the main building is situated. The resort consists of 57 rooms, 2 restaurants, bar, SPA, beauty center, health center, indoor and outdoor pool, gym, 2 equipped private beaches/bays and services for a total of about 6,600 sqm. The hotel is a long-standing member of the international network of luxury hotels “The Leading Hotels of the World”.
The Pellicano Hotels group already owns and manages two luxury resorts, that are Hotel Il Pellicano (Porto Ercole, Toscana) and La Posta Vecchia Hotel (Palo Laziale, Lazio), both members of the important international network of luxury hotels “The Leading Hotels of the World”.
Dario Leone, Partner, Head of Hospitality at Cushman & Wakefield’s Italian office, comments: “This agreement confirms the strong will of operators in the luxury sector to enter into or expand their offer on the Italian market also in resort destinations, besides being a unique opportunity for the island of Ischia to gain visibility both at a national and international level. The operator selection for the Mezzatorre Resort & SPA reaffirms the leadership of Cushman & Wakefield’s Italian Hospitality team for this kind of services in Italy and for the luxury market segment, after recent closings such as the Hotel de La Ville, a 5*L in the heart of Rome and Masseria Torre Maizza & SPA, a 5*L property situated in Fasano (Brindisi), in the heart of Apulia”.
Giuseppe de Lorenzo, member of the Board of Directors of the company Torre San Montano and delegate of the shareholders, supervised by the Legal Team of NCTM in Milan, comments: “ We are very satisfied that, after a very selective and competitive process, we have been able to find a partner with which we share the same philosophy with regards to management and services offering, intended for an Italian and international clientele, that is increasingly demanding. This agreement allows a further promotion of our asset as well as positioning the island of Ischia among the prime luxury destinations of the area (Capri, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi)”
