Cushman & Wakefield, global leader in real estate services, responds to the new demands of the industrial market in Italy by expanding the offer of its Industrial & Logistics Leasing division with a line dedicated to the fast-growing data centre and last mile logistics sectors.

The management of this new, specialised line is entrusted to Alessandro Mancini, a senior expert logistics and last mile consultant who has already been with the Cushman & Wakefield Italy - Industrial & Logistic Leasing division for 12 years and has impressive experience in the Data Centre and ICT property sector.

Mancini successfully completed some of the biggest transactions involving this sector's top brands in Italy, involving real estate of about 175,000 m².

In this new role, Mancini will work alongside team manager Marzio Granata, who has already led this constantly expanding team since 2008.

The continual growth of e-commerce, data processing and security and the electronic transactions now central to over 90% of the operations of business and consumers are bringing structural changes to the real estate market, boosting the industrial and logistics sector and revealing the need for hubs close to city centres. Two key factors are therefore important for growing businesses' competitive advantage and are becoming more and more strategic for their operations: the "last mile" in the delivery of goods and the need for high-profile ICT services.

Joachim Sandberg, Head of Italy and SE Region comments on the new appointment as follows: “Cushman & Wakefield responds to the market's growing demand for the expansion of niche sectors that are gaining more and more importance in portfolio diversification strategies. Formally incorporating this specialism in the I&L Leasing division will enable us to provide dedicated, highly professional consulting to domestic and international players, also in the fast-growing ICT - Data Centre and Last Mile Logistics sectors. I wish Alessandro and the team every success in the new organisational configuration”.
