With a team of 20 professionals, half of them working specifically in the retail sector, the Project & Development Services division is structured to support its clients in all phases of the concept study, design, construction and renovation of properties of all sizes, including shopping centres and stores, in malls or on high streets.
Further to in-depth analysis of the client’s needs and an assessment of the resources and tools needed to complete the project, Cushman & Wakefield establishes a project-specific team. 

Its members work in integration with Cushman & Wakefield’s other service lines to guarantee a full vision of all facets of the project. The services we offer for the development and expansion/restyling of shopping centres are:

  • Preliminary analyses, site inspections and technical surveys
  • Design concept
  • Master planning
  • Architectural and plant design
  • Multiannual investment budgets
  • Planning and safety compliance procedures
  • Calls for bids and selection of contractors
  • Direction of works
  • Project Management (management of times, costs and quality)
  • Energy efficiency and sustainability assessments (energy consumption analysis, optimisation of supply contracts and energy certification)

SERVICES FOR TENANTS

Success is the outcome of a complex process which starts a long time before a store official opening. Realising this, Cushman & Wakefield has established a team of project managers ready to meet tenants’ needs by taking over the entire management of the project on a “turnkey” basis, or by assisting the client and its suppliers in specific activities. 

The store outfitting services offered are:

  •  Architectural and plant design
  •  Planning and safety compliance procedures

  •  Direct vendors’ management
  •  Direction of works

The new Design & Build team is able to assist in the project’s initial phases, in the feasibility and concept study stage itself, and then handle the store’s creation as general contractor.
